About Isabelle

I have always been passionate about working in the service of others. I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Northeastern University in 2014, and from there immediately moved into community-based mental health work in Boston. Fueled by a desire to expand my horizons beyond my home state and get more involved in administrative work, I pursued a job with NEO Philanthropy in New York City. NEO is a nonprofit funding intermediary committed to building strong social justice movements. During my time at NEO, I worked primarily in a program administration role for a donor collaborative fund working to increase civic participation and advance voting rights among people of color and other historically represented communities. In this role I was able to develop both grantmaking and fundraising experience, and hone my event management skills.

In 2019, I began working with the Massachusetts Municipal Association (MMA), a nonprofit member organization with the mission to improve the effectiveness of local government in the Commonwealth. The MMA’s members are the local governments in Massachusetts and their elected and appointed leadership. In my role at the MMA, I work closely with our member groups to plan trainings, conferences, and workshops to support their professional development. This role has afforded me the invaluable opportunity of being able to network and develop relationships with local government officials all around the state and developing a deeper understanding of the inner workings of local government in Massachusetts. In this role I have been able to deeply develop my project management and customer service skills while continuing to foster my passion for public service.
